Dora's Kitchen
To design a family kitchen in a large room with three doors on three walls, acting as an important route through the house.
We moved the doorway to the other end of the wall to give us a clear corner for the kitchen work area. The tongue and groove enabled us to smooth out the stud wall whilst keeping it in tact. The surfaces are all reclaimed teak and the carcasses are sturdily constructed of timber.
There is space for the cooker and to the right of the oven there are two large saucepan drawers and open storage to facilitate the use of the corner. There is a large larder/storage cupboard and space for a large fridge. The drainer is cut into the teak work top. The chair sits in the most wonderful chimney breast in the wall opposite the door wall.
