| I am obsessed with old Christmas decorations and
have a huge personal collection. It seemed a perfectly natural
progression to make my own decorations to add to these lovely
things.
I use antique textiles, silks, ribbons, beads, sequins, semi-precious
stones and old findings to make a range of decorations which
I think stand up to those in my collection.
All the decorations are made by us, by hand and in very small
quantities. The angels and fairies are numbered and dated. |
The Turkish slipper |

These are made of pretty 18th and 19th century
pieces of material and decorated with old silk ribbons, braids
and beads.
They can be used on the tree or just have them lying about
the place. One of the first decorations I made and I still
find them very pretty.

A scented stuffed fish |

It is made of old silks and brocades and is decorated
with sequins, braids & beads. It is a copy of the 19th century
fish pin cushion my mother gave me a long time ago in one of
the wonderful stockings she made for us every christmas.

Fairy |

I make between 18 and 20 fairies each year using
antique lace, silks, ribbons, beads and bows. She is approximately
8" high. You can move her arms and legs. She has a wand,
a necklace& very good knickers!

embroidered.
She has linen hair & gilded metal wings and comes in
2 sizes.
This angel can be put on top of the Christmas tree.

Mohair Christmas tree |

This thin, weedy tree made from mohair &
wire is based on the old feather trees from the 1920's &
30's. It is decorated with tiny vintage baubles & a glittering
star.
